Thought Leadership

Developing Global Thought Leadership on FX Market Trends

Overview

We partnered with a global financial markets organisation to deliver a thought leadership research programme exploring the key trends, challenges, and innovation priorities shaping the foreign exchange (FX) market. The study generated insight-led content designed to engage customers and prospects, strengthen market positioning, and support global marketing activity.

Client Challenge
The client wanted to build a robust evidence base to support thought leadership and strengthen engagement with FX market participants. They needed credible, globally sourced insight into evolving market dynamics including risk management, regulation, technology investment, workflow transformation, and AI adoption, alongside a clearer understanding of the priorities shaping decision-making across the FX space.

Our Approach

We designed and delivered a global quantitative study among 400 FX professionals across trading, treasury, risk, operations, and technology functions. The research combined customer and prospect audiences across major international financial markets, providing a balanced view of current challenges, investment priorities, and emerging opportunities. The programme was developed specifically to support multi-channel thought leadership and content creation.

Insight Delivered

The research identified the major themes driving momentum in the FX market, including risk mitigation, regulatory complexity, emerging markets, workflow optimisation, and next-generation trading technologies. It revealed strong industry focus on AI, APIs, automation, and advanced analytics, alongside increasing demand for integrated workflows, real-time insight, and operational efficiency. The study also uncovered how firms are adapting to liquidity fragmentation, evolving compliance requirements, and growing competitive pressure.

Outcome

The programme delivered a scalable thought leadership platform supporting reports, blogs, webinars, presentations, social content, and lead-generation campaigns. The findings helped position the client as an informed voice on the future of FX markets while providing commercially relevant insight for customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders. The research also informed messaging strategy, content planning, and wider go-to-market activity across global regions and channels.
